Supreme Court Upholds Legislative Prayer at Council Meetings
The steady march towards Evangelical Supremacism continues. It has been my continuing belief that the Separation of Church and State as described by Thomas Jefferson has been eroded decade by decade until now IMO we are officially a right-wing Christian Theocracy more than an egalitarian society.
By a partisan decision, the Supreme Court has enabled hard-right Christians to dominate the tone and inclusiveness of government meetings. When government has the means to determine the tone and scope of ideology as it convenes for decisions and legislation, that by definition presents potential conflicts of interest and bias against certain citizens.
Hard right Theocrats will not be happy until they have total government power. With the current Supreme Court’s help they are steadily meeting many of their stated goals.
